Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer located in Patras or in Athens, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the reliability and performance of VGS's systems, troubleshooting complex issues, developing and enhancing software, managing system infrastructure, and ensuring optimal system administration.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in SRE or DevOps roles at a staff level, with a track record of managing production systems in complex, large-scale environments.
- Strong proficiency in AWS including infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Solid understanding of cloud-native architecture, Linux Systems, microservices, Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK), CI/CD (CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Argo), GitOps, Authentication and Authorization, APIs and API Gateway, Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), Kafka (MSK), Java, Spring Framework, Python, and AWS services.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience in the payment industry or with payment technologies is a plus,
